Real Estate Licensees Eager to Learn

Real Estate Licensees Eager to Learn

Recently, I went and taught a class in Arkansas to approximately 20 nonresident Oklahoma licensees and I have to say I was very impressed with their knowledge of the Oklahoma laws and rules to include the Oklahoma real estate contracts. I have been equally impressed with Oklahoma licensees across the state in that they indicate they are eager to learn in order to gain greater knowledge of the industry and to effectively provide brokerage services to real estate parties. They also express a desire to take their classes early, way before the deadline, and they want to see new and different subject matter. This is very refreshing to learn – I say this as a past real estate regulator turned real estate educator/broker.

I believe the challenge for real estate educator’s will be to continually create new educational content so that real estate licensees are not burdened with having to take the same courses each and every license renewal term. If this is accomplished, real estate licensees will have available to them updated and timely educational content that will further public protection and reduce broker liability.

2014 has been a good year and I want to thank all of the real estate applicants and licensees who have utilized our educational services at BAAHS.com. In addition I want to thank Van Education Center (VanEd) for providing a wonderful online delivery platform, recording process and maintaining student accounts for their future reference of content material and completion certificates.

I want to wish everyone a happy, safe and prosperous 2015.
